The Logger Awards
The Logger Awards are annual awards given by the Log Cabin Republicans of Colorado. The Loggers highlight excellence within the state of Colorado and advancement in American values, Freedom, and Liberty. The awards are given out in a ceremony held in the month of December.
The American Dream Award, the award for exceptional business, is given to an entrepreneur or business operating within the state of Colorado that has made an impact working toward improving life for Coloradans and in standing for Freedom and American values.
The Mark Bingham Award, The award for outstanding citizenship, is given to a Citizen or community organization (non-political) within the state of Colorado that has set an outstanding example and/or has gone above and beyond to make Colorado a better place.
The Rush Limbaugh Award, the award for magnificent media, is given to an individual working in the media or journalism, or a media company/organization, working within the state of Colorado who has done a phenomenal job in providing Coloradans with information and maintaining high journalistic standards.
The Lincoln Award, the award for preeminent politics, is given to a politician or political organization working within the state of Colorado who has done an excellent job working toward the betterment of Colorado and the advancement of Freedom and American values.
The Logger of the Year Award goes to a member of the Log Cabin Republicans of Colorado who has exhibited exceptional support of LCR organization and its members and has worked toward the advancement of LCR values in the Colorado community.
The executive board of the Log Cabin Republicans of Colorado will select 2 to 5 nominations for each of the first four categories (excluding Logger of the Year). The nominees will be presented to members at a meeting or via email. The nominees may then be made public through Social Media. Nominations will be made the first week of October.
Selecting the Winners
Active members of the Log Cabin Republicans of Colorado will select the winner of each of the first four categories (excluding Logger of the Year). Voting will take place either at the October Board meeting or by a voting application/website the final week of October. Votes will be made available upon request for transparency.
The Logger of the Year will be selected by the executive board and the winner will be announced when the award is given at the awards ceremony. The executive board is not eligible for this award.
